Tempted to try Kimukatsu after a friend posts the video, I went to the Kimukatsu outlet in Kemang Village which is still fairly new. Kimukatsu previously had an outlet in Kota Kasablanka (KoKas), but then I decided to have breakfast at its outlet at Lippo Mall Kemang instead.
Cheese Beef Katsu, Rp.57.000 (ala carte)
Served with thin cut raw cabbage. Actually it tastes good, the meat is moist and not greasy. But as you can see, it looks very different from the menu. The layers are thin, cheese is almost invisible (only 2 cuts got the thick cheese/not spread evenly) & with portions that are not worth it for the price. Too bad. The tempura sauce have sour flavor so it refreshing your palette.
Piyo Piyo Menchi, Rp.25.000
This is the star. Chicken meatball wrap soft-boiled egg & then fried. The meatball was very tasty, egg was OK & the savory taste was there.
Spicy Salmon Roll, Rp.39.000
I deliberately didn’t order Katsu Set because I wanted to try this menu. I am a big fan of sushi salmon, & I think this roll was quite delicious.
The service was very nice & quick. But it makes me wonder, why after so many good reviews the KoKas outlet, Kimukatsu Lippo Mall Kemang hasn’t received the same reviews yet? I’ll try at KoKas outlet tho, someday, but not sure at this outlet again 🙂
